El Paso, TX (KTSM) — An El Paso attorney is being suspended for six months. Visiting Judge Martin Muncy has temporarily revoked the law license of Stuart Leeds. Leeds was found guilty of contempt of court for purposely lying to the court about documents he filed in the Shawntrell Dawkins murder trial.
At the time Leeds was already on probation after being convicted of contempt of court for his behavior during the nepotism trial of Judge Regina Arditi. Leeds' suspension began today. Aside from disbarment, suspension is the harshest punishment that Texas lawyers can suffer.
