El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The first project under El Paso's 2012 Quality of Life Bond will soon be giving kids and adults a place to play in Northeast El Paso
Tuesday City Council approved a skatepark at Northeast Regional Park for $1.4 million.
It's scheduled to be finished in about 8 months.
The El Paso Department of Engineering will oversee this project. It's to be the largest skate park not only in El Paso, but in the region.
"It's about time we get something great and we look forward to greater things as far as quality of life and other issues that aer important to El Paso and Northeast El Pas," said Rep. Carl Robinson.
