El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Police officers in west El Paso are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a crash. The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. Thursday on Thunderbird and Twin Hills. According to police, the driver was speeding when he lost control and hit a rock barrier. They believe the car went airborne and just missed a gas meter before landing in the yard. The vehicle did not hit the house but came very close to it. According to one of the homeowners, he saw the man running from the scene with a giant gash on his face.
