EL PASO, TX (KTSM) — An arrest affidavit detailing the city's latest murder reveals why Manuel Torres, 49, is accused of murdering his 45-year-old wife, Lilia Torres early Saturday.
Court documents showed that Torres' son called 911 after talking to his father on the phone. During that conversation, Manuel Torres allegedly told his son "I just killed Lily."
Police then went to the home on Monterrey Drive in the Lower Valley and found the 45-year-old dead inside the home.
Torres told police the two had been arguing Friday afternoon after Lilia allegedly admitted to having an affair. He's being held at the El Paso County Jail under a $50,000.
