The UTEP women's golf team rose three spots in the standings on day two of the Conference USA Championship on Tuesday in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The Miners have been consistent through 36 holes of the tourney with two rounds of 310 (620 total). They climbed from ninth place to sixth with 18 holes remaining on Wednesday.
Tulane heads up the 11-team field (291-295-586).
UTEP's Emma Burman (77-77-154) and Camino Sardinero (79-75-154) are tied for 25th place, both shooting 10-over-par. Maria Velasco is in 30th place (76-80-156), while Nathalie Castillo (83-78-161) and Amber Herrera (78-83-161) are tied for 39th place.
