Vado, NM — Doña Ana County Sheriff’s investigators are piecing together some articles of clothing and several missing-persons reports in hopes of identifying skeletal remains that were found March 22 east of Vado.
A hiker who was in the desert near Bishop’s Cap Friday evening told investigators he found what appeared to be skeletal remains. Investigators were called to the area and confirmed the bones were human.
According to a report, a belt buckle and a shoe were found near the remains. No other information was immediately available.
