Medics train in Afghanistan to keep their skills sharp
Kandahar, AFGHANISTAN — Fort Bliss Soldiers serving in Afghanistan are gearing up for the fighting season.
Medics with Charlie Company, 501st Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division are combat ready and have been keeping up their high speed training while deployed to Kandahar.
During this hands-on training, they simulated a real life scenario, as particular Soldiers were instructed to play the role as patients.
"Our mission is to support Combined Ready First medically in their AO (area of operation). We provide medical support, we save lives, and we support all of the units in this AO - to keep them combat ready," said 2nd Lt. Jessica Loggins.
