New proposed bill will offer tax credit refund

A bill to boost New Mexico's manufacturing industry and increase exports to Latin America has been approved by New Mexico House of Representatives. 

Individuals or businesses that export 20% or more of their goods to Latin America, that are manufactured in New Mexico, would be eligible for the tax credit of up to $5,000.

House Bill 596, sponsored by Antonio “Moe” Maestas, passed on a vote of 66-0 and now moves to the Senate.
