EL PASO — Law enforcement officials worked together to catch an alleged robber seen via surveillance demanding cash with a weapon at the Bank of America on Dyer.
FBI investigators said numerous anonymous tips led to the arrest of Candida Solorzano, 57, on Wednesday. The robbery was solved within 9 hours of occurrence. The police and sheriff's department assisted in the case.
She was scheduled to go before Judge Castaneda this afternoon for her initial appearance where she will be charged with one count of armed bank robbery.
Surveillance video Wednesday showed Solorzano with a weapon holding up a bank teller at Bank of America.
Investigators said she walked into the Dyer location and handed a note to the teller, displayed a weapon and demanded money. The teller complied and handed her an undisclosed amount of cash. She exited the bank and fled on foot in a westerly direction on Hondo Pass Avenue.
