More than 400 pounds of drugs were found stashed inside a vehicle at the Ysleta International Crossing on Saturday.
The seizure was the largest of several drug busts CBP made this weekend.
A CBP officer working the primary inspection station selected the vehicle for a secondary exam after noting discrepancies in the appearance of the vehicle. Officers proceeded to scan the vehicle with an x-ray system and spotted several anomalies within the vehicle including the doors, quarter panels and seats.
CBP officers continued their exam and located bundles of marijuana concealed in multiple locations inside the vehicle.
A 44-year-old male from Socorro wasarrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement HSI agents in connection with the failed smuggling attempt and booked into the El Paso County jail without bond.
