EL PASO — Spring is the deadliest time on Texas roads.
That's according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
That's why TXDot leaders are stepping up anti-drunk driving efforts in El Paso.
Throughout the next month, they'll be appearing at UTEP even at the Downtown Union Plaza Entertainment District at the end of spring break.
They will be out at those locations with a carnival type booth and interactive games related to anti-drinking and driving so people can learn and experience things hands-on.
Twenty-six percent of all alcohol-related crashes in Texas in 2011 happened between March 1st and May 31st.
