A disease that mainly affects the elderly is now attacking people of all ages. Researchers say the number of new cases of shingles is exploding and they're not sure if they can stop it. Cases are up six fold across all age groups. Medical experts still don't know much about the shingles virus or what's behind the recent spike in cases. There is a vaccine available but right now it can only be used on people who are over the age of 50. It's important to note that only those who actually have had the chicken pox can get shingles. Experts believe the numbers of younger people getting shingles will begin to drop, since many of them have received the chicken pox vaccine.
