El Paso — In a 5 a.m. raid Wednesday, ICE agents with Homeland Security Investigations, along with state and local law enforcement, raided the home of Thomas G. Daly on Roanoke Drive in northeast El Paso. Armed with a search warrant, they detained Daly as they searched his computers and other electronic devices. Forensic agents allege they found what they expected: illegal images of children in sexual situations. Agents then arrested Daly for Possession of Child Sexual Exploitation Material.
A neighbor counted as many as ten law enforcement cars and vans in front of Daly's home. He describes agents carrying rifles, and others hopping over the back wall of the house in case their suspect tried to escape.
The address on Roanoke is just one block from El Paso's Irvin High School.
Agents took Daly first to the county jail, then to a federal holding cell. Daly will face a federal judge Thursday morning.
