Texas game wardens fired several shots at a car Sunday afternoon during a high speed chase through East El Paso.
It all started around 5 p.m. when a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden unit tried to stop a reckless driver at I-10 east of the Geronimo exit.
According to Texas Park and Wildlife Department, the driver of the vehicle, 27 year old, Justin Lozier attempted to elude the state officers, at times reaching speeds of 100 miles an hour in an urban area.
When the fleeing car went over an embankment at an exit and came to a stop, one of the wardens tried to get the man out of his vehicle. At that point, the man put the vehicle into gear and drove off while dragging the warden from the car window for a short distance.
Police arrested Lozier after a warden fired a second shot and successfully blew out his tire.
He's facing two counts of aggravated assault on an officer and evading arrest.
