Del Valle Elementary School invited parents to spend a portion of their day "shadowing" their child in school. It's called "Walk a Mile in their Child's Shoes" and parent's got to experience firsthand their childs daily activities in the classroom.
"I love it. I think it is really important because it actually shows the parents what we are expecting from the children and then they can also go home and help out exactly like we're teaching them here and actually have that over there as well." said 4th grade parent Marisela Lopez.
Today was the second day this week that the event was held.
