EL PASO — El Paso Community College, the University of Texas at El Paso, the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce and ADP are joining forces to put on "FAFSA Nights". It's all in an effort to increase FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, applications
During February and March business volunteers will join financial aid officers from EPCC and UTEP to visit area high schools and assist students in filling out the forms. Starting February 4, from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m., financial aid experts will visit the computer labs of 41 schools to help students and parents complete a FAFSA and be available for questions.
Experts say completing the FAFSA increases student opportunities of enrolling in college by 350%. They add, every year billions of dollars are available in federal grants, work – study, and loans to millions of students to help pay for college or career school by making it possible and affordable.
