NASHVILLE, TN — Three seniors at a Tennessee high school gave up a big honor to a fellow classmate.
Unionville Community High School junior Scotty Maloney, was thrilled to be crowned homecoming king. He won the competition after three seniors nominated for the title decided to give it to him.
Scotty has Williams Syndrome, a neurological disorder that inhibits learning and speech. He's been wearing the king medal he won at school this week.
Next year, Scotty will crown the school's new homecoming king.
