FABENS, TX — The victim of a dog attack, Hilda Delgado was released from the hospital Monday morning after doctors were unable to re-attach a partially amputated thumb resulting from a dog bite.
Sheriffs responded to the dog bite call Saturday afternoon, where the Fabens Volunteer Fire Department was providing aid to 67-year-old Delgado. According to the report, Delgado had reached for an item located near the dog’s 5-week old litter of puppies.
She suffered left arm superficial lacerations and a partial amputated left thumb. The EPCSO-Animal Control Unit summoned to the scene at the time of the incident, cited the owner of the dog, victim’s grandson, for not having his dog vaccinated.
