Lance Armstrong has finally admitted to using performance enhancing drugs during his cycling career.
"Yes or no. In all seven of your Tour de France victories, did you ever take banned substances or blood dope?" Oprah Winfrey asked during her sit down interview.
Armstrong responded, "Yes."
Part One of the interview aired Thursday on OWN.
News Channel Nine asked cycling enthusiasts who watched last nights interview said it was what Armstrong needed to do.
Santiago Chavez said, "I don't think it was right by any means, what he did, but it's good for the sport of cycling to move forward."
Mike Rossen said, ""Even with the interview, I still have a lot of respect for the guy. I think coming out on a national state and admitting to that, I think is huge"
During the interview Armstrong said he never felt he was cheating. Armstrong said he saw it more as leveling the playing field because other athletes were doing the same thing.
