Doña Ana County — The hunt for a sexual assault suspect was over Thursday night after Marcos Anthony Moncayo turned himself in to authorities, Sheriff's deputies said.
Moncayo faces charges of providing alcohol to twin 14-year-olds and sexually assaulting one of them in their parents' home. According to the report, the twins' parents discovered Moncayo and another unidentified suspect hiding in a closet. Both men ran away upon being found, allegedly leaving behind empty beer cans and used condoms.
Investigators determined that the girls met Moncayo and the second suspect on a social networking website and they claimed to be 20 years old, but later admitted to being underage.
Moncayo was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond, charged with ten felony counts, including criminal sexual penetration in the third degree, criminal sexual contact of a minor in the third degree, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, conspiracy to commit selling or giving alcohol to a minor, conspiracy to commit criminal sexual penetration of a minor in the third degree and conspiracy to contribute to the delinquency of a minor.
Investigators are still looking for the other man who was allegedly with Moncayo.
