EL PASO — El Paso Independent School district officials said they will have extra officers patrolling MacArthur School and Burges High School Monday.
As we reported on Friday, a custodian at MacArthur School reported seeing a suspicious person with a gun on campus, which prompted officials to put the school and nearby Burges High School on lockdown.
Police did not find the suspect and eventually called off the search at about 5 p.m. Friday.
District officials said one EPISD officer is usually assigned to each campus, but Monday, there will be extra officers patrolling the campuses throughout the day.
