EL PASO — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office identified the man killed Friday morning in a hit and run crash off of I-10 near the Clint exit as Christopher Michael Self, 33.
Self was an employee of the non-profit organization, Exceed Resources, which hires people with intellectual disabilities.
Investigators said Self and two other members of the organization were pedestrians clearing the shoulder of the highway when the car hit him.
The driver did not stop. Investigators said the vehicle should have front end damage.
This is the first deadly pedestrian accident of 2013.
