Lubbock, TX — The search for a 2 year-old girl outside of Lubbock, TX has come to a tragic end.
According to affiliate KCBD in Lubbock, little Leah Marie Aguirre was found murdered in her caregiver's basement.
The Crosbyton Police Department Chief told reporters her body was found in a box wrapped in plastic and intentionally hidden.
The woman who lives in the home, Matilda Almaraz, is being charged with capital murder and she may not be the only suspect in the case.
Police were originally searching for a man named Miguel, who allegedly posed as a CPS worker.
