A local car dealership is looking at a big mess after those strong winds Wednesday night.
Michael Cheatham with BMW/Mazda of El Paso says a gust of wind peeled the roof off the Lone Star Inn, spraying nails, wood and tar all over his parking lot. The winds were strong enough to force a piece of roof underneath the driver's side tire of a Mazda 6, a car that weighs almost four thousand pounds.
Although the mess looks bad, Cheatham says the damage to the cars is minor.
"We've got windshields to be replaced on a couple of cars, and obviously some paint and body work that'll be done." says Cheatman.
