El Paso, TX — And once it was back open, El Pasoans flocked to Transmountain today to savor that last bit of record setting snow.
The west side of the mountain was sunny, with a little bit of lingering snow, perfect conditions for building a snow man.
"I thought it was awesome but I wanted it to snow on Christmas but oh well," said El Paso resident Deandra Valdez.
Deandra's sisters came along for the fun too.
"It was really cold, we actually went to a nearby park and we had a lot of fun but apparently we used up all the snow so my mom took us here just to have a little bit more fun. It was cool," said El Paso resident Elane Valdez.
The temperatures in the borderland are expected to warm during the day but stay cold overnight.
