El Paso, Texas — Roughly, a combined 250 people crammed into select shelters in the past two days across the borderland.
The El Paso Rescue Mission saw 120 people stayed at the shelter last night. That is up about 25 percent compared to a regular day.
The Las Cruces Rescue Mission saw 80 people stay at their shelter.
In Juarez, several shelters opened their doors to 50 people who had to come inside because of the cold conditions.

The Las Cruces Rescue Mission is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing shelter at 1050 Amador Ave.
