EL PASO — Superstorm Sandy is the first order of business for many in the new Congress.
The house passed a nearly $10 billion aid package Friday. Congress as a whole will consider a $51 billion package in the future. A similar vote was canceled last session that would have funneled $60 billion to victims.
The news comes after a dire warning from FEMA that funding for the national flood insurance program is running out.
