Classes resumed Thursday for students at Sandy Hook Elementary for the first time since last month's massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
More than 400 students are attending classes at a refurbished school in Monroe.
Police officers are on site providing security at the new school, which was formerly known as Chalk Hill Middle School.
The route to school was decorated with signs of support.
