DOÑA ANA COUNTY — It was a big day for elected officials in Doña Ana County.
Mark D'Antonio was sworn in this morning to his new position as Doña Ana County's District Attorney.
D'Antonio won the job in November defeating incumbent Amy Orlando.
The former FBI special agent will be bringing his experience in law enforcement as well as the knowledge he gained while working as a prosecutor to the DA's office.
D'Antonio says he is committed to working for the people.
County commissioners, state legislators and judges were also sworn in today.
For some it's another term in office while others will be representing their constituents for the first time.
Elected officials will begin working in their new capacities January 1st.
