Helping young babies sit up may accelerate the learning process. A new study out of Texas A and M University looked at the learning patterns of five-and-a-half and six-and-a-half month olds.
An advantage the older babies had, is they can sit up to reach for and touch objects. Researchers found when the five month olds were given support to help them sit up, they demonstrated similar learning patterns as the older babies.
