Spirits were high and so was the volume as football teams arrived in El Paso. Bien venidos! The Borderland opened its arms to USC and Georgia Tech, who arrived in El Paso for the annual Hyundai Sun Bowl. Players danced and USC's coach, Lane Kiffin got to wear a sombrero.
The teams will two step their way to Fort Bliss tomorrow to spend time with the troops and also visit local hospitals.
The USC football team immediately began practice for Monday's Bowl game but there is ample time built into the schedule to enjoy El Paso's hospitality.
"The people welcomed us with open arms and we appreciated that," said running back, Silas Redd.
