HORIZON CITY, TX — They didn't wear seatbelts, and this morning on I-10 near Horizon City, a woman driving an SUV and her male passenger were thrown from the vehicle as it rolled and came to a stop on its roof.
The woman died at the scene about 8:30 this morning. The passenger survived and made it to the hospital. A DPS trooper tells Newschannel 9 the black SUV is registered to an Alabama owner.
The names of the crash victims are not released. DPS says speed was another factor in the fatal crash.
