EL PASO — Expect a spike in DWI arrests over the weekend as the The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Traffic Section in coordination with The Texas Department of Transportation implements a "DWI Enforcement Wave".
The initiative will focus on increasing DWI arrests within El Paso County Texas as part of the statewide "Drink. Drive. Go To Jail" campaign.
Officials said the goal is to reduce the number of fatal or serious injury collisions during times where alcohol-related crashes are most frequent.
