Just to make sure Santa knows what they want for Christmas, students from Hillside Elementary's Regional Day School Program for the Deaf sign their wishes to Jolly Old St. Nick.
The program is funded through a private grant and was set up at Bassett Place this morning.
For the first time in most of their young lives, these children got a chance to sit on Santa Claus's lap and sign what they wanted for Christmas as he signed back.
It has become an annual tradition that allows the kids to feel a part of the Christmas spirit.
"When they get older they said that they enjoyed it very much" said Deaf Educator, Maria Silva.
The annual visit to see Santa also features a performance by the Hillside Singing Choir.
