LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The City of Las Cruces granted a $1.9 million contract to a Doña Ana company for construction of the city's newest fire station.
Firestation 7 will be out by the Las Cruces International Airport on Crawford Rd. and Zia Blvd.
The fire department is currently leasing a building for a temporary location.
The new facility will have four sleeping rooms and three bays for fire trucks.
Construction is set to begin in January and should be completed by November 2013.
