Science took a hit today when El Paso's Insights Museum closed its doors forever, at least at the Downtown location where it has taught and entertained since the 80's.
For one last time today, Insights El Paso Science Center invited the public to explore the world of science admission was free and visitors packed the Museum. Children spun around on rotating platforms, while others hopped on their parents' shoulders to catch a final glimpse of the exhibits.
The Museum's Board of Directors says its considering options for a new location. One concept is called "Museum Without Walls," where the Museum would have no permanent home but bring exhibits to schools and other venues.
