Long Beach, CA — The remains of Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera have arrived back in the United States.
Rivera's remains were flown in to a Long Beach, California, airport then taken away in a hearse. A procession of vehicles followed the hearse to a funeral home a few miles away. Along the way there was a huge public turnout of Rivera’s fans.
The 43 year old singer, known as the "Diva de la Banda" died in a small plane crash Sunday near Monterrey, Mexico.
A memorial was held Wednesday evening in El Paso for the popular singer. Rivera last visited the Sun City in September when she performed live at the Don Haskins Center.
