Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will indeed delay the operation needed to repair his fractured left index finger, and hopes to play this weekend. Bryant broke his finger Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals but returned a few plays later to score a touchdown.
The Cowboys medical team will try to come up with a devise to protect the injured finger. He was limited at practice today and will be in constant communication with the medical staff.
Over the season he has become quarterback Tony Romo's favorite target having completed nearly seventy percent of his passes to Bryant. Bryant ranks 10th in the league in receiving yards with nine touchdowns.
If the finger is re-injured, it could mean permanent damage which could limit Bryant's ability to catch the ball down the road.
Dallas is set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday.
