American Airlines is changing the way it charges you to fly.
Fliers will have a choice of three coach class fare levels that come with various perks and benefits.
For instance, the airline will charge up to $88 more per round trip for passengers who want a basic ticket bundled with one checked bag and no fee for a reservation change.
The airline says it's responding to customer complaints about fees, especially the charge — typically $150 — for changing a reservation.
American said Wednesday that the options will be sold on its aa.com website and through travel agents for flights in the contiguous 48 states.
