Sean Kugler has his first UTEP Football recruit. Mack Leftwich is coming to El Paso.
The 5-11 quarterback told he Pittsburgh Post Gazette, "I'm going to get a chance to play Division I football, which has been a dream of mine my whole life. Coach Kugler has a lot of confidence in me and one of the first things he did as a coach was offer me a scholarship. That really says something."
Leftwich played at North Allegheny high school in Pittsburgh and was team mates with Kugler's son, Pat.
He averaged 148 yards passing per game and 62 yards rushing while completing 56% of his passes. Rivals.com ranks Leftwich as a "two star" recruit.
