The next news conference about the NASA Mars rover, Curiosity, will be held in San Francisco.

Don't expect any major new findings from the mission.

It's too early for that.

Today's news conference will be an update on Curiosity's instruments and how they're being used to investigate a drift of sandy soil.

The instruments are testing for, among other things, organic compounds -- which could signify carbon-based life.
