EL PASO — The state is trying to seize a ranch in West Texas where multiple children were sexually assaulted by members of a Mormon religious sect. That's according to the Texas Attorney General's office which initiated legal proceedings today. The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints purchased the 1600 acre YZF ranch in Eldorado in 2003 for about $1.3 million. The AG's office says church members used the property to sexually assault to children and to hide FLDS leader Warren Jeffs in 2006 when he was a fugitive on the FBI's 10 most wanted list. The FLDS is fighting the seizure.
