Four days before taking the oath of office, Mexican President-elect Enrique Peña Nieto plans to meet with President Barack Obama in Washington today.
Peña Nieto says he wants to reshuffle the nations' shared priorities - moving beyond the drug war and security concerns.
Peña Nietosays one of his top agendas is to deepen Mexico's economic ties with the United States with more trade, manufacturing and energy deals.
Immigration also is likely to come up during today's meeting, as well as education partnerships and global issues.
Peña Nieto takes office as Mexico's President on Saturday.
