EL PASO — Update: Crimes Against Person’s Detectives have located 76 year old Dolores Avila at her residence in the 900 block of Myrtle. Investigators learned that Avila had walked to a hotel and stayed the night after leaving a family members residence on the Westside of town. Earlier this morning Avila left the hotel and returned to her apartment in the 900 block of Myrtle. Detectives advised that she was not ill or injured and confirmed that she left her family member’s home voluntarily.

El Paso Police issued a Silver Alert for Dolores Avila, 76, who has been missing since Monday afternoon.
Avila lives in the 900 block of Magoffin Ave. in Central El Paso, was visiting family on Colchester Dr. in West El Paso.
Police said the woman left the home on Colchester Dr. and started walking home. A family member followed her and tried to take her home, but Avila refused and kept walking.
The family member went to get help from other family members, but when they returned to look for Avila, they could not find her.
Avila was last seen in the area of Resler and El Cajon in West El Paso at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
El Paso Police do not suspect foul play, but family members are concerned because Avila takes medication for Alzheimer's and other illnesses.
Avila is described as 5'4" tall and weighs about 118 pounds. She has light brown, short hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark blue zip up jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes. She was also carrying a medium sized brown purse and wears prescription glasses.
