EL PASO — A U.S. Army Second Lieutenant and former cheerleader set an unofficial world record for tumbling on Saturday.
Jalyessa Walker, 23, made the record attempt at half-time during the UTEP vs. Rice football game at the Sun Bowl.
The former cheerleader did 47 consecutive back flips as the crowd counted along. She smashed the old record of 35 set by a Texas teenager in October.
Guinness World Records will determine if Walker's attempt is officially a new record.
