LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The Las Cruces Mobile Operations Command Center will be deploying on the East Mesa for four days starting Thursday.
The center will be at the Big Daddy's Flea Market at 5580 Bataan Memorial East on November 29th starting at 10am to 5pm December 2nd.
East Mesa residents are encourage to stop by and share ideas and concerns for a safer community with officers on hand 24 hours a day.
Throughout the four days, the mobile operations command center will also serve as a collection site for La Pinon Sexual Assault Recovery Services of Southern New Mexico and will be soliciting donations of non-perishable foods and supplies.
La Pinon requests donation of non-frozen foods ready to eat. They also have a need for blankets, and new socks for women and children.
New or lightly-used winter coats for children can also be collected at the site.
Toys for Tots will also be using the center as a collection site for new and unwrapped toys.
