EL PASO — A convenience store in west El Paso sold a winning Powerball ticket for $1 million.
The ticket was sold at the Valero store on Sunland Park and Cromo. We stopped by the store but an employee could not give us any information.
Nationwide, there were 10 winners of $1 million and one winner of $2 million.
However, nobody won the $325 million dollar Powerball jackpot, so the prize jumped to $425 million which is the largest jackpot ever for the game.
Officials said the drawing could go even higher than the estimated jackpot because sales pick up days before record drawings.
Powerball has not had a jackpot winner for two months.
The next drawing is Wednesday.
