Boxer Hector Camacho dies after injuries suffered from shooting

Puerto Rico — World champion boxer Hector Camacho died today at a trauma center in Puerto Rico.

The boxer emerged from a troubled childhood to become a world champion in three weight classes.Camacho went into cardiac arrest earlier today and died after being taken off life support. He was shot in Puerto Rico last Tuesday while sitting in a vehicle outside a bar. Another man in the vehicle was also shot and died at the scene. Camacho was 50-years-old. So far, no arrests have been made in the shootings.
