Forget the malls and big box retailers, help stores boost the local economy by shopping at small businesses tomorrow.
The event began in 2010 when American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help small businesses get more exposure during one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year.
Last year, more than 100 million across the country came out to shop at locally-owned small businesses.
Here in El Paso The Downtown Artist Market, located in Union Plaza will host local artisans selling unique, handmade gifts from 9am to 1pm.
The Old Kern Place Shops off Cincinnati Avenue will have some deals.
Including the boutiques at the shopping center on North Stanton Street near Cincinnati Avenue which include: Luka 7, Hommework and J. Luxe Boutique.
Small business owners say when you support them, you support the whole community because the money they make stays local.
