EL PASO — EL PASO- A new pet kennel opened up in town and there's an interesting twist, or should I say wag... to it.
It's called The Pet Barracks, a 55-hundred square foot modern pet boarding facility. This was the dream of two Retired Disabled Army Veterans. Inside their compound you'll find two outdoor exercise yards, more than 80 kennels for dogs and cats and a groomer. Inside, there's room for plenty of animals. Some of the kennels are big enough for doggie brothers and sisters. You won't find stinky drains or buckets of bleach water in this geodesic shaped kennel. All of the cleaning has been done twice a day by a high heat vapor steam machine.
The owners have only hired vets, disabled vets or active duty family members. It's a move that owner Beverly Stipe is doing to help soldiers transition back to a world without war.
The kennel opened it's doors just in time for the holiday season. They are looking for clients in the Northeast and Upper Westside, but have room enough for all of El Paso. Check out their website: That's an Order!
